2017 Painting and Color Trends

2017 Painting and Color Trends

There are some people who stick to just a couple of tried-and-true paint colors and that’s it, while there are others who are willing to go out and try the latest trends. If you are one of the latter individuals, we have gathered some of the 2017 painting and color trends that are going to hit homes by storm very soon (all of which will complement on another very well by the way):

Concrete Gray

This has been a popular color for a couple years and will continue to be, although it may be turn to a warmer hue – sort of like cement. It is a color that adds a certain level of sophistication to a room, as it is classic and timeless, yet it can be edgy and modern at the same time. Ultimately, it will serve as a wonderful framework for bold colors, such as red and yellow.

Earthy Red

Speaking of red, it is such a confident, courageous color that symbolizes so many different things. It will definitely see a rebirth this year. As always, red makes a bold statement. If you’re looking to attract attention, such as an accent wall, red is your color. However, this year’s red isn’t the bright, bold red that most people think of. Instead, it is an earthy, Middle Eastern red – yet it still packs as much of a punch as any.

Golden Yellow

If you need to brighten up a room, yellow is the way to do it – even if you don’t use a super bright shade of yellow to do it. It is also a color that can add sophistication to virtually any room. It is very positive and optimistic. This year’s yellow will be a rich, harvest-inspired hue that is very earthy. Next to the previously-mentioned multicultural red, this happy yellow would really pop!
